Planning permission granted for 30 new homes in Southwick!

We are pleased to confirm that planning permission has been granted for our proposed development of 30 new homes on land off Wesley Lane, Southwick.

Following three years of detailed planning, engagement, and collaboration, the Western Area Planning Committee unanimously backed our proposals, recognising the site’s allocation in the local plan, the quality of the scheme’s design, and the benefits it will bring to the community. This site forms part of the Southwick Neighbourhood Development Plan and has been the focus of extensive planning work throughout this period. We have worked closely with the local planning authority, Southwick Parish Council, and other stakeholders to develop a proposal that is policy-compliant, sustainable, and reflective of the local community’s aspirations.

The scheme will deliver a mix of high-quality homes, including nine affordable locally discounted homes, helping to meet identified local housing needs. It also includes a significant ecology corridor, new footway connections, and contributions towards local infrastructure, including education, highways, and sustainable drainage. These provisions will be secured through a Section 106 agreement.

We would like to thank everyone involved in this process – particularly Southwick Parish Council, Wiltshire Council’s planning officers, and the members of the planning committee for their considered decision. We would also like to give particular mention to Mark Cullen and Matthew Halstead from Crossman Planning Consultancy, Chris Donoghue and his team from Wotton Donoghue Architects, Stewart Parsons from Ellendale Environmental and many others who contributed significantly along the way. We look forward to delivering a high-quality development that enhances the village and contributes positively to the local area.
